I am a self-taught writer. I was born in an orphanage in Calcutta, India. I have been living in the UK for some years, and in that time I have published in India, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, the USA, and Canada. I have also been teaching various levels of self-awareness.
My first book, The Undertaker was published in 1993. It was a biography of a man who became a professional undertaker. It was written in the classic style of a novel, and I felt my writing improved from it. I’ve tried several times to write a sequel, but I’ve always been prevented by my lack of self-awareness. The book is still available in English translation.
I started writing under the name of M.A. Arora. In 1999 I started writing the main story of my website, my personal blog, and my main website, undertaker.com (which was later renamed undertaker.org). I also wrote the main book of my website, The Undertaker. It was published in 2003, and it was a biography of my father.
My father, M.M. Arora, was an Indian civil servant in the Indian Revenue Service during the colonial era. He was a great man, who was a good Indian and a great man, but a poor writer.
