The news I was given during my interview with Dr. Nalini Singh is that she is a pediatrician that specializes in the area of early development. She is also the author of several books on the topic of child development. My purpose in interviewing her was to learn more about the research and her views on the topic.

Dr. Singh is currently a professor at Rutgers University and also a member of the Association for the Advancement of Behavioral Biology. She is the chairperson of the American Association of Pediatricians’ committee on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and she also serves as a member or member-at-large for the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society.

Dr. Singh is definitely not a child psychologist. The reason I asked her the question was that I could not imagine her as a child psychologist. I actually have a friend who is a child psychologist, and I asked him to take a look at her blog. He was quite astonished that she would have a blog. (He told me this on the phone, but I didn’t see the point. It would be too easy to just Google something.
